Where we coming from

My name is Jorge Salazar Lopez , originally from Tlaxcala Mexico,  Of the age of  21, in 2003  I came to the United States of America, my first job was in fast food for around 4 years , after that, I worked for several more restaurants, since then, the passion of the food started growing  in my heart, I knew that Mexican cuisine needs more than crunchy tacos. Years later  in 2012 , I met my wife and the motivator of my dreams, MARA.

WHO IS MALINCHE ?

Marina or Malinche

(c.1500 - c.1529)

more popularly known as La Malinche, a Nahua woman from the Mexican Gulf Coast, became known for contributing to the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire (1519-1521), by acting as an interpreter, advisor & intermediary for the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes. She was one of 20 enslaved women given to the Spaniards in 1519 by the natives of Tabasco. Cortes chose her as a consort, and she later gave birth to his first son, Martin-one of the first Mestizos (people of mixed European and Indigenous American ancestry) After she died, they named the volcano MALINCHE in honor of her in TLAXCALA-MEXICO.
